| 内容記述 | 【要旨】患者会に参加するオストメイトの生活上の課題と活動意義を明らかにすることを目的として，日本オストミー協会 A 支部の会員 7 名を対象に半構造化インタビュー調査を行った。オストメイトにとって患者会は生活上の課題を解決する社会資源となっていた。患者会で活動する意義には他のオストメイトから情緒的・情報的サポートを受けられること，他のオストメイトを支援すること，生活の豊かさや安心につながることがあった。看護師には患者会を支援，患者会と協働することが求められ，患者会は専門職とオストメイトを繋ぐ場，専門職がオストメイトに学ぶ機会になる可能性が示唆された。 | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | Abstract: A semi-structured interview survey was conducted with seven members of the A branch of The Japan Ostomy Association to elucidate the challenges faced in daily life and the significance of activities of ostomates participating in patient associations. For ostomates, patient associations serve as valuable social resources to address the challenges they face daily. Moreover, the significance of participating in patient associations includes receiving emotional and informational support from other ostomates, supporting fellow ostomates, and contributing to the enhancement and reassurance of their quality of life. Nurses are expected to support and work with patient associations, which could serve as a platform to connect professionals and ostomates, providing an opportunity for professionals to learn from ostomates. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
