| 内容記述 | 【要旨】大昔から人類は様々な出生回避策を採ってきた。それらに対して過去の道徳と社会はいかなる態度をとってきたか，またとりわけ経口避妊薬が今後の道徳と社会に与えるであろう影響について考えてみたい。全部で八節と結論からなる。一節から六節までは出生回避に関する文献に基づいて歴史的事実を確認する。七節では出生回避に対してカトリックが反対する論拠を,八節ではそれに対する筆者の見解を示す。結論において新しい技術の開発が女性の性行動に変化をもたらすこと,行動の変化は慣習の変化となること,最終的には性的快楽を不道徳としてきたこれまでの道徳が,性的快楽を善とする快楽社会の道徳に変わっていくことが指摘される。紙面の制約により今回は一節と二節を掲載する。 一節では西欧の古代・中世におけるキリスト教教会の出生回避禁止を確認する。 二節ではマルサス主義とバース・コントロール,それに対する社会の肯定と反発を概観する。 |

| 内容記述 | Abstract: Since ancient times, human beings have adopted a variety of birth control measures. In this treatise, I will discuss historical moral and societal attitudes towards contraception and consider the potential impact of oral contraceptive drugs on morality and society in the future. This article consists of eight sections and conclusion. The first six sections cover the historical facts of contraception, while the final two sections are a subjective statement of values. Included here are the 1st and 2nd sections. Section 1: On the prohibitions of contraception in ancient and medieval western societies. Section 2: On the influence of Malthusianism and Neo-malthusianism in the 19th century. |
