 note = {110007156469, 本稿は、市立名寄短期大学生活科学科における英語の事業改革とその実践について論じる。生活科学科の英語の授業は数年前より習熟度別クラス編成で行っており、本稿は、その中でも英語をもっとも苦手とする学生を対象としたクラスについて実践報告をし、今後の英語教育に関する課題を示している。特に、中学校の段階から英語を苦手とする学生を指導する場合には、学生の学習過程に配慮しながら、各人が抱えている問題をその場で解決し、英語に対する学習意欲を高めていくような個別指導を重視した授業展開が必要であり、また、そうした授業を効果的に展開するための少人数教育を提案している。, This paper is on English teaching at Nayoro City College, particularly focusing on English teaching in the lowest level class of four English classes divided by achievement test in the Department of Life and Science. This class consists of students whose achievement levels in Enghsh are below the junior high school average.Teaching of thjs class focuses on how to write English by applying the rules of basic grammar. For the students to understand and write Enghsh, special attention needs to be paid to their learning processes:giving explicit advice for writing and correcting their mistakes immediately during the class is important to improve their English abilities and motivate them to study Enghsh. Finally this paper proposes that smaller class sizes are necessary for developing more effective pedagogical interactions between students and teachers.},
