| 内容記述 | 【要旨】本稿は，戦時下における労働力動員政策の一環で，国民学校が健康な労働力の供出の役割を担っ た点に着目し，学校を介した結核対策の具体像について解明することを目的とする。厚生省と文部省は， 1941 年度に国民学校修了後就職予定児童の身体検査を導入し，結核罹患者を「就職不適当」とした。42 年 度に，就職予定児童の希望者に対して BCG 接種を導入。43 年度には接種を拡大し，同児童でツベルクリン 反応全陰性者・疑陽性者に対して行った。接種の目的は，国民学校修了後工場や事業所に就職する者のう ち，環境変化等により結核に罹患し発病する者が増加傾向にあることに鑑み, 発病防止を計ることにあっ た。この身体検査の最重要課題は，結核罹患者を把握し「就職不適当」者として分類し，工場や事業所に 就職させないことである。身体検査については，検査を受ける側の問題について必ずしも明らかになって いない。ゆえに「就職不適当」者がどう扱われたのかについて検討した。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | Abstract: This paper focused on the role of primary schools (kokumin gakko) during the Second World War in providing a healthy labor force as part of the wartime labor force mobilization policy and aimed to clarify in detail the state of tuberculosis control throughout schools. In 1941, The Ministries of Health and Education introduced a physical examination for children who planned to work after completing primary school and deemed the children with tuberculosis as “inappropriate for employment.” In 1942, the bacillus Calmette–Guérin vaccination was introduced for the children who planned to work. In 1943, the vaccination target group was expanded to include all children, regardless of negative and false positive tuberculin reactions. The purpose of the vaccination was to prevent the onset of tuberculosis, considering that among the people who found employment in the factories and business establishments after completing primary school, the number of those who contracted tuberculosis due to factors such as environmental changes had increased. The most important outcome of the physical examination was identifying the persons who had contracted tuberculosis, classifying them as “inappropriate for employment,” and preventing them from finding employment in factories or business establishments. The physical examination did not clarify the problems of the persons undergoing the examination. Therefore, this study examined the mechanism of deeming a person as “inappropriate for employment” by the physical examination. | |||||
